Traditionally when a company needs to consolidate files in a central location it has to purchase and configure a dedicated server. This typically has a setup cost (inclusive of hardware and fees) of around £5,000 plus ongoing project and maintenance costs1. As an alternative Bridge Partners is now offering a hosted server solution. This would provide space on a shared platform with security rules in place to hide data from anyone not authorised to access it.
The servers are run on robust, up-to-date branded HP and Dell hardware with good processor speed, memory and inbuilt redundancy. The equipment is situated in a secure data centre with redundant power, controlled environment and resilient network. The service provides a server behind a firewall with Windows 2008 Server licences, Client Access Licences and ongoing patching and operating system upgrades. Bridge Partners periodically upgrade the hardware to maintain a good industry standard.
SharePoint Web Access
SharePoint Web Access services can work in conjunction to the G-hosting Server to improve access to files and folders. It is a complimentary service that allows this same information to also be accessed through a secure webpage. Once running through the SharePoint interface files and folders can also make use of document management features built into the system such as version control and access permissions. SharePoint can also be used to host internal web pages to share information to with employees.

- Setup of company file storage area
- Creation of policies and security settings
- Connection to office
- 20GB of storage per company
- Addition of networked printers
User setup includes the following:
- Creation of user account
- User storage area
- Connection of nominated machine to domain/server
- Provision of drive mappings to both shared and private data areas
- Provision of remote access
- Provision of antivirus client
- Additional 2GB of storage per user
The monthly fee covers the following:
- Management of server
- Maintenance of server
- Backup of all company and user data
- Maintenance of antivirus
- Server licenses
Additional space can be purchased as needed.
